Mandatory Volunteer orientation/training is back! We are asking that all volunteers complete this training. You only need to attend one time. If you attended one already this year (2022) you don't need to come again. Thanks!
Orientation will be offered on two dates: January 4 and 7, 2022.
NOT RECEIVING EMAILS?
It had come to my attention that a few volunteers are not receiving any of my emails or sos's. This happens when the receiver of the emails marks one of them as spam, and their system filters any new incoming emails in that same way. Here is an article that goes more into those email statuses!
The 1885 Music Hall, listed on the National Register for Historic Places, is owned, operated,
and loved by The Friends of the Mozartina Musical Arts Conservatory, Inc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit,
cultural and educational organization established in 1979. Our mission is three-fold:
1) to present diverse and relevant programming in music, theater, dance, and film for the
enrichment of the tri-state community;
2) to promote arts education through classes, partnerships, performing opportunities, and
residencies; and
3) to preserve and restore the historic Music Hall so that it may continue to be a vibrant
performing arts center and catalyst for sustainable economic development in our area.
The 843-seat theater is a cultural destination and one of the busiest theaters in the region,
attracting over 100,000 people including 25,000 children on an annual basis from all over the tri-
state area. It is an economic engine, generating over $6 million for the local community through
visitor-related spending, according to the Arts & Economic Prosperity Calculator. It also
contributes over $60,000 of space to local nonprofit organizations such as The Random Farms
Kids’ Theater, Rivertowns Dance Academy and Westchester Symphonic Winds every year.
The organization’s vision is to continue growing as a leading presenter of diverse and relevant
programming in the performing arts for the enrichment of the tri-state community, promoting
education through performances, classes, and residencies, partnering with local arts
organizations, and strengthening the local economy. The Music Hall, once fully restored and
renovated, will accommodate an increased variety and quantity of high-quality performances
and be a showcase for green energy in a 19th-century building.
Welcome to the the Music Hall team!
